- Have a good hardware pick list.
- Ability to add to hardware pick list.
- Able to run on a range of PC Operating Systems.
- Ability to run on MACs (if this is required).

Data Repository Functions
- Easy to use repository for audit data.
- Audit data import must be able to differentiate between duplicate records and updated records.
- Field names reflect the field names configured in the audit.
- Various levels of user access permissions to the repository.
- Tools to help analyse and identify files which are not identified during the audit.
- Ability to easily and quickly identify which PCs have a specific software installed
- Ability to enter and maintain software licences.
- Ability to report on software licences required.
- Ability to classify software into categories such as Shareware to assist with reporting and software licencing
- Ability to enter supplier details for hardware and software.
- Ability to add non electronically audited equipment e.g. PCs and printers in store rooms.
- Pick lists for data entry in repository.
- Good set of basic reports.
- Good reporting tool for ad-hoc reports.
